    Student-Centric Training

    Training Needs Analysis

     

    Before the start of training, The Reactor Methodology™ employs a 3600 Training Needs Analysis (TNA) of the school, its students, and educators directly involved in the development of the child.

     

    This ensures that learning outcomes are aligned to the mission, vision and values of the school. We do this by employing the Predictive Evaluation (PE) framework, which is used by top HR practitioners worldwide.

     

    Personalized Profiling

    We profile our students to get a preliminary understanding of each individual, in order to prepare content relevant to the class’ interests, and engage in talking points to better connect with students.

     

    We do this by using psychometric profiling tools such as Gallup Strengthsfinder, Starteur, and the Grit Scale. By understanding their interests and strengths, trainers are able to bring the best out of students.

    Tight Feedback Loops

    Bias-to-Action Training

    Students are encouraged to act on their ideas, and to seek immediate feedback from the real world. Moving through tight feedback loops at creates momentum in learning, and helps students to solidify their new skills.

     

    We do this by complementing worksheets with a range of out-of-classroom activities, including design thinking, ethnographic research, focus group discussions, and 1-on-1 interview sessions with peers and target users.

     

    Exposure to Emerging Tech​

    Students are encouraged to seize opportunities in emerging technologies and markets, and implement these in their projects. This helps them to ride opportunities that are on the upswing, and prepares them for a future economy that is both complex and exciting.

     

    We do this by exposing students to the latest in technology trends, including 3D-printing, Virtual Reality (VR) simulations, Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, rapid prototyping and more.

    Local & International Exposure

    Local Exposure

    Students are exposed to local business trends and societal issues, in order to develop awareness and empathy towards the needs of Singapore.

     

    We do this through organising learning journeys, visiting start-ups, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs), Social Enterprises (SEs) as well as having sharing sessions with local entrepreneurs.

    International Exposure​

    Higher performing students are further challenged to think beyond the classroom, and to change-make on a regional and global scale.

     

    We do this by using start-up case studies from ASEAN and Silicon Valley, organising Skype calls with co-founders from overseas, as well as providing clippings from overseas news and various academic journals.

    Play and hands-on activities form a fundamental component of the Reactor Methodology™. Enjoying the learning process has consistently provided the best learning outcomes for students, and promotes teamwork and collaboration.

    The Reactor Ratio™​

    All modules carry a range of activities, and are designed to engage the 4 learning modalities of Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic and Tactile learners. Students are expected to constantly interact with the trainers and each other, and won’t be seated for most of the session.

    Continuous Self-Development

    Pre and Post Evaluation​

    By showing how they have grown over the course of a programme, students gain greater fulfillment from the learning process. This sets them up for career success in their chosen fields, by encouraging them to take ownership of their self-development.

     

    We do this by stipulating clear Success Criteria for each module, and collecting data before & after each programme. This is used to prepare a Parent Report, which is shared with parents at the end of a programme, and an Impact Report, which is shared with the school management.

    Post-Programme Support​

    Authentic entrepreneurial learning begins outside the classroom. Various optional activities are presented to students at the end of each programme to help them realize their full potential.

     

    We do this through Reactor Ventures, 3-hour sessions to help students who are furthering their projects, start-ups, or preparing for competitions. This is coupled with Reactor Nexus, an online mentorship platform to connect students with peer mentors & alumni.
