    What's On?

  • RSIE 2018

The Reactor Startup Immersion for Educators (RSIE) is a first-of-its-kind, 5-day programme that grants up to 21 young Educators (aged 35 and below) the unique opportunity to step out of their daily lives and/or comfort zone to experience what it’s like to work in the Singapore Startup scene.

We have 4-5 slots open to Educators above the age of 35, whose experience we believe young Educators can learn from. In return, they can see first-hand how youth today will go on to inspire revolutionary change in their spheres of influence within the Singapore Education System.

The RSIE is split into 2 parts, details of which are as follows:

    Part 1: RSIE Internship
Up to 21 selected educators will intern in local Startups, attend a condensed train-the-teacher programme, and participate in a RoundTable discussion.
    Date: 18th to 21st June
Time: 10am-6pm (Dependent on Hosting Startups’ Working Hours)
Venue: *SCAPE, Temasek Polytechnic, Hosting Startups’ Offices

    Part 2: RSIE Symposium
Up to 100 youth educators will learn from the experience of the 21 selected educators.
    Date: Friday, 13th July
Time: 1pm-5pm (Symposium), 5.30pm-7.30pm (Startup Learning Journey)

*Note change of Symposium timing from 2pm to 1pm
    Venue: Temasek Polytechnic (TBC)

    Who should Apply?

  • About Reactor Educator Network

Our members meet up once a month to share ideas and best practices as part of a community of practice.

The Reactor Educator Network (REN) is a professional development network for educators who seek to teach entrepreneurship, innovation, business and design.

REN supports educators in integrating 21st Century Competencies (21CC) into their curriculum.

Bi-monthly, REN Members meet up to share ideas and best practices in raising the entrepreneurial aptitude of our students, as part of a community of practice. These 2 to 3 hour REN Meetups may include guest speakers, industry representatives from start-ups and SMEs, and/or learning journeys to places of interests.

During each session, participants will receive a plug & play REN Lesson Plan which equips educators to run a related and interactive in-class activity that can be used or remixed for your own classes.

Materials you could use in your classrooms.

Our vision for REN is to build an inclusive community of educators, whom in turn will help to cultivate the galaxy's best young founders. Our resources are made available to all educators, and we aspire to expose more students to entrepreneurial education. REN topics are community driven, and are voted by the educators in our community. Each time we seek to provide the most relevant and applicable lessons to be applied in your classrooms.

REN Lesson Plans can be used or modified for your own classes as part of contact time, post-exam activities, Values in Action (ViA), Education & Career Guidance (ECG), or for promoting 21st Century Competencies (21CC).
